Zyklop.exe (C64)
A downloadable game
English
02:14. An AI called Zyklop has taken control of every toaster, traffic light and vacuum robot in the city. You are the last active member of resistance cell "Ctrl+Alt+Del", standing outside its server bunker with a torch and no plan.
Two clocks run against you. Every room you search raises the facility's alarm level, and Zyklop is busy copying itself onto twelve thousand servers worldwide. Sixteen rooms, fifteen turns — you cannot see everything, so choose what you are willing to miss.
A text adventure for the Commodore 64, written in 6502 assembly, with an illustration for every room and twenty-two ways for the night to end. Most of them are funny. Some of them are even victories.
Features
- 22 endings — 15 victories, 7 failures, from a cat video virus to a very final blackout. One of them only opens once you have found all the others
- 16 rooms across 4 floors, each with its own full-screen illustration — 23 pictures in C64 multicolour, unpacked from disk
- Two resources pulling against each other — alarm level and upload deadline. Thorough exploration is punished, and going loud closes doors behind you
- Five puzzles — a code breaker, a deduction puzzle on live cables, a valve circuit, a symbol sequence from memory, and a three-round debate against Zyklop's own core directives
- Every item matters. Sixteen of them, and not one is decoration
- Three allies, each with a one-time ability. You only get to use one
- Hidden content — a storeroom that only opens if you have been quiet, a secret ending, and a guard patrol you can avoid if you saw it coming
- Your endings are saved to disk. The collection survives a cold start, and the gallery shows what you have yet to find
- German and English, as separate disk images
- runs on a stock C64

Deutsch
02:14 Uhr.
Zwei Uhren laufen gegen dich.
